Our History
GuitarCurriculum.com was primarily developed between 2004 and 2008, after leaders of the Austin Classical Guitar Society’s Educational Outreach Program recognized a growing need for both student and instructor access to comprehensive and easy-to-incorporate classical guitar education materials.
Today, Guitarcurriculum.com powers the substantial Austin classical guitar programs and is in wide usage beyond Austin as well. The curriculum has literally transformed classroom classical guitar education in Austin, bringing ensemble instruction on the classical guitar to schools where there was none previously.
Underscored by AGCS’s guiding principle that the classical guitar is an unusually powerful ambassador for the fine arts, GuitarCurriculum.com offers a strong curriculum-based approach for teaching classroom classical guitar in order to provide the best possible ensemble learning experience.
