6b. Arpeggios - PAMI

The class in this video demonstrates a PAMI arpeggio exercise. PAMI arpeggios, or descending arpeggios, are unique because they require a different type of extension timing than ascending arpeggios. After you have taught your student how to plant fingers while doing PAMI arpeggios, right hand exercises on open strings allow students to focus extension timing while listening to the teacher verbal cues.
